Berry Edge Artefact Becomes Art – A giant hook, unearthed during excavations of the former Consett Steelworks Berry Edge site, is to be the centrepiece for a permanent display at the entrance to Fawcett Park, the new urban recreational area in The town.
Measuring almost 30ft by 20ft, the artwork, which is to be embedded in industrial resin compound, will greet visitors to the park, which is due to open in the Spring of 2014.
